About

I’m something of a recruitment veteran, having worked in the industry for 25 years. All this despite being told at my first job that I didn’t have a future in the business! I started as a front line recruiter, then became involved in training, later becoming Director of Training. Now, as Managing Director of the Bill Boorman Consultancy, I specialise in training and business consultancy for a wide range of recruiters.

A fellow of the REC, I’m a survivor of 2 recessions and base my training and consultancy on my own experience. I  pride myself on ‘true life training’ – reality based with a real operational focus as training is only effective when combined with operational reality and management follow up. I also believe that people learn best with a smile on their face!

Personally, I am married to Fran with two children, who give me plenty of inspiration. I run marathons around the world badly and slowly, and love being in the great outdoors.
